Give Now

Making a gift to JCSU is simple. We will work with you to ensure that your gift helps us create a brighter future.

Types of donations

President’s Gap and General Scholarships

A majority of JCSU students are Pell Grant eligible, meaning they are faced with significant challenges in funding their education. The President’s Gap Scholarship was designed to fill the financial gaps for students whose only barrier to their education is financial. Other general scholarships help fund merit, presidential and pride and purpose scholarship awards.

JCSU Endowment

Building a healthy endowment provides JCSU with financial stability that will create a lasting legacy. Your gift to the Endowment will provide a solid foundation for the longevity of JCSU, Charlotte’s only HBCU!

Band/Choir

The rich culture found at an HBCU is perhaps most notable in its arts programs, specifically through the band and choir. A donation to the International Institution of Sound (IIOS) Marching Band and the JCSU Concert Choir will assist the program by paying for travel costs, equipment, and student support.

STEM

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) continue to grow in prevalence as our society grows. A donation to STEM programs at JCSU will aid in providing hands-on educational opportunities to the next global leaders in STEM.
